Our areas of expertise are software engineering, information architecture, and systems integration. Denver Data Systems specializes in employing these three disciplines to deliver solutions that utilize information or content that is structured using XML or SGML to achieve increased productivity and information reusability.
Our principal, Tom DeGerlia has over 20 years of experience in Software Development. Denver Data Systems serves organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individual entrepreneurs across many different industries.
Company History
In 1995, Denver Data Systems founder Tom DeGerlia started "The Denver Data Basement" a membership based online information service (often referred to as a "bulletin board" or "BBS"). As the Internet became more prominent, demand for smaller online services diminished. Simultaneously, a relatively high demand for specialized technology skills became apparent.
Through several experiences developing software as an employee for mid-large size organizations, Mr. DeGerlia became frustrated at the consistent inefficiencies. Employee's pigeonholed by their experience, software development standards and best practices were absent or unused, and ultimately, and vast expense was directed at projects that never saw success. As a result, Mr. DeGerlia saw a greater opportunity to help companies cost-effectively bring development projects to a successful conclusion as an outside vendor.
Denver Data Systems was incorporated in March, 1999. Denver Data Systems initial customers include The Boeing Company, Physician Reimbursement Systems, and Jeppesen-Sanderson. Our initial services ranged from graphic document consulting to Internet application development.
The stability and continued success of our customers has enabled DDS to thrive in a time that countless technology providers have failed. Today, Denver Data Systems focuses on developing quality software application development focused on database integrated Web applications.
